Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen
The Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen based in Linz is an association for civic education and democracy promoting meassures and was founded in 2017 with the aim of promoting equal opportunities. Through international cooperation and diverse educational offers for schools, companies and public institutions, we support the personal, scholastic and academic development of children and adults. We develop and implement projects in the field of civic education to ensure opportunities for European citizens to participate in socially relevant issues.
The core competencies of our association work, however, are supporting people in actively participating in society and strengthening active civic participation and European citizenship. In our workshops, our participants often use simulation games to learn how to apply and apply these skills such as media literacy, social entrepreneurship, communication strategies, intercultural dialogue, human rights and democracy.
Our experienced trainers have already held numerous workshops and are constantly developing new methods that are tailored to the needs of the learner.
Why is this project important for the Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen?
It is very important for the Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen to show the importance of media literacy and critical thinking. So, we want to put together a mix of methods for learners to address the issues of media literacy, risky viral trends in the internet, fake news and related issues and to raise people’s awareness about them.
How will the Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen use the project results?
The Akademie für Politische Bildung und demokratiefördernde Maßnahmen will create workshops based on the methods created in the project and offer them to schools, adult education institutions and all previous cooperation partners.
